What is HIFU?

HIFU, or High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound, is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the skin, resulting in tightening and lifting effects

Are there any contraindications for HIFU?

Yes, contraindications include pregnancy, active skin infections or inflammation in the treatment area, severe skin conditions (such as eczema or psoriasis), and certain medical conditions like autoimmune disorders or those on anticoagulant therapy. Individuals with pacemakers or metal implants in the treatment area should also consult their physician beforehand.

What effects can I expect after the HIFU treatment?

After a HIFU treatment, you may notice immediate tightening of the skin, but the most significant results typically develop over the following weeks as collagen production increases. Skin may appear firmer and lifted, with a more youthful appearance.

How long does a HIFU treatment session take?

The duration of a HIFU session can vary depending on the treatment area but typically lasts between 30 to 90 minutes

What is the recovery time after HIFU?

HIFU is a non-invasive procedure with minimal downtime. Most individuals can return to their regular activities immediately after treatment. Some may experience mild redness, swelling, or tenderness in the treated area, which usually subsides within a few hours to a couple of days.

What are the post-treatment recommendations following HIFU?

After HIFU, it is advisable to avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen to protect the treated area. Staying hydrated and maintaining a healthy skincare routine can also enhance results. Additionally, avoid strenuous exercise and saunas for at least 24 hours post-treatment. Follow any specific aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner to ensure optimal results and minimize any potential side effects

When will I see results after HIFU treatment

After undergoing HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment, initial effects may become noticeable within a few days. However, the most significant improvements typically appear over a period of about 30 days. This is because your skin continues to work hard during this time, producing new collagen and gradually enhancing its firmness and elasticity.

What does My skin sook like immediately after the HIFU treatment?

Immediately following the procedure, you may notice some redness or mild swelling, which is completely normal and should subside quickly. For mature skin, the lifting effect can be particularly noticeable right after the treatment. As the weeks progress, you will see your skin's condition, elasticity, and tightness improve day by day. Remember, the 30-day regeneration period is essential for achieving optimal results, and your skin will continue to improve as collagen production increases. We encourage you to be patient and embrace the transformation!

What is a lash lift and brow lamination?

A lash lift is a treatment that enhances the natural curl of your eyelashes, making them look longer and more defined without the need for extensions. Brow lamination is a procedure that tames unruly brow hairs, giving them a fuller and more polished appearance.

How does my skin type affect the lash lift and brow lamination procedures?

Sensitive skin may react differently to the products used during these treatments. If you have sensitive skin, it’s essential to inform your technician beforehand so they can take extra precautions and possibly conduct a patch test to ensure you do not experience any adverse reactions.

Are there any contraindications for lash lifts and brow laminations?

Yes, there are several contraindications. Individuals with eye infections, recent eye surgeries, or conditions such as conjunctivitis should avoid these treatments. Additionally, those with certain skin conditions around the eye area should consult with a professional before proceeding.

Can I get a lash lift or brow lamination if I wear contact lenses?

Yes, you can still have these treatments while wearing contact lenses. However, it’s recommended to remove your lenses before the procedure to avoid any irritation or discomfort from the products used during the treatment.

How long does a lash lift or brow lamination procedure take?

The procedure typically takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the specific treatment.

What are the results of lash lifts and brow laminations?

The results of a lash lift include beautifully curled and lifted lashes that can make your eyes appear more open and vibrant. Brow lamination results in a sleek and groomed brow look, giving the appearance of fuller brows.

How long do the effects of lash lifts and brow laminations last?

The effects of a lash lift generally last between 6 to 8 weeks, while brow lamination results can last up to 6 weeks. Regular maintenance is recommended to keep your lashes and brows looking their best.

Is there any aftercare needed after the treatment?

Yes, aftercare is essential. It is advisable to avoid getting your lashes or brows wet for the first 24 hours post-treatment, and refrain from using oil-based products on the treated areas to prolong the effects.

How does my skin type affect the laser hair removal procedure?

Skin type plays a crucial role in laser hair removal. The effectiveness of the treatment largely depends on the contrast between your skin tone and hair color. Generally, the best candidates have light skin and dark hair, as the laser targets the pigment in the hair. However, advancements in technology have made it possible to treat a wider range of skin tones. Darker skin may require a specific type of laser to minimize the risk of skin damage.

Are there any age restrictions for laser hair removal?

While there are no strict age limits, most practitioners recommend that clients be at least 18 years old. This is because younger individuals are still experiencing hormonal changes that can affect hair growth. For minors, parental consent is often required, and a thorough consultation is necessary to ensure the treatment is appropriate for their skin and hair type.

Can people with sensitive skin undergo laser hair removal?

Yes, individuals with sensitive skin can undergo laser hair removal, but they may need to take extra precautions. It’s essential to discuss your skin sensitivity with your practitioner so they can tailor the treatment and possibly recommend a test patch before the full procedure.

What should I do if I have a skin condition? Laser

If you have a pre-existing skin condition (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, or active acne), it’s crucial to inform your practitioner during the consultation. We recommend delaying the treatment until the condition is managed to ensure safety and effectiveness.

What should I do to prepare for my laser hair removal session?

Schedule a consultation with your practitioner to discuss your hair and skin type, as well as any concerns you may have. We will assess your suitability for the treatment.

How long before my appointment should I avoid sun exposure?

It is recommended to avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks before your session. Sunburned skin is more sensitive and can increase the risk of complications.

Why do I need to shave the treated area before the procedure?

Shaving the area helps to ensure that the laser targets the hair follicles directly without interference from hair above the skin. This reduces the risk of burns and makes the treatment more effective.

Are there any specific products I should avoid before the treatment?

Yes, avoid using any products that may irritate the skin, such as exfoliants, retinoids, or other acne treatments for about 3-5 days prior to your appointment.

What is the difference between laser hair removal and waxing?

Laser hair removal uses concentrated light to target hair follicles, which results in permanent hair reduction over time. In contrast, waxing removes hair from the root but does not prevent regrowth. Laser treatment is usually less painful in the long run and requires fewer sessions compared to waxing.

Can I wear lotion or deodorant on the day of the procedure?

It’s best to arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid applying any lotions, deodorants, or creams to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.

What should I expect after the treatment?

After laser hair removal, you may experience some redness or swelling in the treated area, similar to a mild sunburn. This usually subsides within a few hours. Follow your practitioner’s aftercare instructions to soothe the skin and promote healing.

How can I maintain results after laser hair removal?

To maintain results, avoid sun exposure on the treated area, use sunscreen, and follow any aftercare recommendations provided by your practitioner. Regular follow-up sessions may be necessary to achieve optimal results.

What should I do before my facial procedure?

It is essential to have a consultation with your beauty professional to discuss your skin type, concerns, and expectations. This will help determine the most suitable treatment for you.

How far in advance should I schedule my facial appointment?

Ideally, schedule your appointment at least a week in advance. This allows you to prepare your skin properly and gives time for any pre-treatment products to take effect.

Are there any specific skincare products I should avoid?

Yes, it's advisable to avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, and any harsh skincare products for at least 3-5 days before the procedure. These can increase skin sensitivity and may lead to complications.

Should I inform my beauty professional about any medications I’m taking?

Is there anything I should do on the day of the facial appointment?
